Rules in OIPA are invoked when the user selects associated OIPA functionality for a specific business process. XML rules are configured for some of the following reasons:
Create OIPA screens with your business's specific fields.
Apply specific calculations and guidelines to various plans.
Define what calculations happen when an activity is processed on a policy.
Assist the execution of an activity to perform special processing.
Change the status of a policy.
Confirm that roles exist prior to activity processing.
Apply or withdraw money from the policy value.
Trigger messages that can inform the user of incorrect data or allow exceptions to be made.
Define security group access.
